Hardcover. Condición: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Signed copy of the First Edition. 13 pp; 25 tipped-in color plates. Original cloth. Very Good, without dust jacket. Signed by Hardie on title page. A former owner very neatly copied The Times obituary of Hardie (1875-1952) on both sides of the front flyleaf. Another obituary is tipped to the half-title. The same owner copied the eulogy to Hardie at his funeral service on the rear flyleaf. A copy of the service program is laid in. Also an artist, Hardie's 1919 pencil etching of James McBey hangs in the National Portrait Gallery, London. Hardie is probably best known for his edition of McBey's Etchings and Dry Points from 1902 to 1924 (limited edition of 500 copies published in 1925) and his three-volume Water-colour Painting in Britain. Signed by Author(s).
