The fore edges and bottom edges of the pages have some light brown spotting and there is a little creasing to the bottom corners of pages 19 to 24. There is a gift message at the top of the front free endpaper and the front and rear endpapers have some scattered brown spotting. The book has a slight musty smell but the pages are otherwise clean and unmarked. Colour frontispiece and black and white line illustrations by Marcia Lane Foster. No jacket. First printing.
