Quarto half pictorial vellum stamped in gilt with green pictorial boards stamped in gilt and brown. Illustrated with 25 fine full-page original etchings by Delierre. Moderate soil and two light fox marks to the spine, two small bookplates on the front pastedown, and light offsetting of two old pieces of tape to the front free endpaper, else a very good, internally fresh copy.

Juvenile hardback. Reproduction of the translations of Robert Thomson, Paris, 1906, with very beautiful deep etchings original to this edition. This collection includes tales such as: The Grasshopper and Ant, The Eagle and Beetle, The Bird Wounded by an Arrow, The Cat and Old Rat, The Horse Seeking Vengeance on The Stag, and many others. Translated into English. Illustrated by Auguste Delierre, a French artist and illustrator. Bound in full blue cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear. Fading to the spine and the odd mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd spot. Age toning to the endpapers. Contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper. Very Good. book.

Spine and edges of boards scuffed and lightly bumped; small chip at fore-edge of upper board. Small ink scribble in margin of p. 3; some foxing here and there, but overall internally nice and clean. A lavish production.

Condición: Good. Thick quarto (oversized). Some wear to edges and corners of boards. Gilt top edge. Corners bumped. Some wear to joints. 2 inch tear in leather joint at lower front board, and a one inch tear at top joint. First and last hinge reinforced with green tape. Gift inscription on a card glued in on the first pastedown. Black leather with gilt boirder detailing at edges on both sisdes of the boards. though the title page notes 24 illustrations, this is the extra illustrated edition with 50 attractive, detailed b&w etchings by Delierre. hardcover in full black leather.

Top edge gilt, pages uncut, 304 pp. The most wonderful and exquisite deep-cut etchings. Condición: Very Good binding. The splendid "Edition Illustree" with "75 Planches a L'Eau-Forte" by DeLierre. In handsome bindings of blue three-quarter levant over marbled boards. Top edges are gilt. Raised bands with decorations and lettering in gold. Volume I had a bad bump to the top corner which has been repaired but is still evident if carefully examined. There is a minor and rather inconsequential bump to the bottom corner. An attractive set. Very Good binding.

Beautifully bound in three-quarter maroon crushed morocco over marbled, paper-covered boards. Top edges gilt: others uncut. Spines with five raised bands and heavily gilt in compartments. Just some light rubbing at tips and joints, else a fine, clean copy. An impressive set, beautifully illustrated.
