Condición: Very Good. 1st Edition. Duodecimo. A scarce and interesting philosophy on war and pacifism published shortly before the outbreak of WW II. Huxley (1894-1963) was a prolific author on pacifism, which he defines in this work as 'the application of the principles of individual morality to the problems of politics and economics." In this work he discusses such subjects as nationalism, imperialism, Christian attitudes toward war, and the position of women in modern warfare, likening war to 'state-imposed slavery'. 125pp. Typographical wraps. Square tight binding. Clean interior. Mild age toning to wraps. Presents handsomely in archival mylar.
