Condición: Gut. 1. - 3. Tausend. Deutsche Erstausgabe. 196 Seiten. Einband: Karl Hanke. 20,1 cm. Aus dem Besitz des Kunsthistorikers Erhard Göpel mit Besitzername auf dem Vorsatz. Guter Zustand. - Truman Capote ['tru?m?n k?'po?ti] (* 30. September 1924 in New Orleans; 25. . First edition, first printing by The Folio Society of Breakfast at Tiffany's by Truman Capote, introduced by Jay McInerney, illustrations by Karen Klassen, published in London 2013. A very fine book, cloth covered pictorial boards, silver title to the spine, silver paste-downs and end-papers, with illustrated plates throughout, internals free from inscriptions, the text block bright, in original publisher's silver/grey paper covered slipcase. Breakfast at Tiffany's by Truman Capote is a novella centred on Holly Golightly, a young, eccentric New York socialite with a mysterious past. Narrated by an unnamed writer who becomes fascinated by Holly, the story delves into themes of love, freedom and the pursuit of happiness. Holly's carefree lifestyle and complex personality embody the glamour and disillusionment of post-war America. It's a poignant exploration of identity and the search for belonging.

Soft chocolate brown leather covers with attached leather title label/luggage, decorative endpapers 157 (13)pp. Presented in its original box wrapped in tissue paper with a Bill Amberg motif and with a card describing the evolution of the binding's design and a printed paper band surrounding the box. ISBNÊ10: 0141189533 Found online: 'Penguin asked the brilliant leather designer, Bill Amberg, to design a six book set. Amberg chose vegetable tanned buffalo skin from 'fallen animals' - which means they died from natural causes. The skins were processed in a totally ecological way, where the water is recycled after filtering through reed beds. The resultant leather is tough and aesthetic, and, like all great leather bindings, can only improve with handling. Amberg has used Yapp binding, where the leather overlaps the exposed edges of the text block. Such bindings are limp, with rounded corners, so the leather edges protect the text block as the y soften and envelope the pages. The leather edges are beautifully sewn. Additionally, there is a tethered bookmark in the same material which bears the book's title. At the base of the leather spine is a blind embossed Penguin logo.' Fine. Box very faintly handled. Excellent condition. .
