According to his obituary in the August 4, 1941, New York Times, McBride was one of the early advocates for socialism. As a correspondent for various newspapers in the United States, he was in Russia during the 1917 revolution. This book is his defense of the changes made by the new government. Unfortunately, his 1930 return trip to the country left him disillusioned. 15 b&w plates and frontispiece. (8-1/8"x5-1/2").
