An Australian stockman and artist, Neil Eldertree, is haunted by the image of a young woman from the 17th century when he visits the old manor house of Glaydesby in Wiltshire.The novel is set between the wars and Neil's father (who died in WWI) sent his young son a postcard of the manor whilst on leave and wrote about meeting the very young lady of the house.Sixteen years later Neil decides to visit the manor and perhaps meet the child that his father wrote about so many years ago. Instead he encounters a strange vision from long ago. Condition: Very good. Dustjacket has some chipping, but is covered in clear plastic sleeve.
