The slip case shines in blue in a lapis lazuli like color and is beautiful to behold. However, I did not dare to touch it more than one time. This shiny PMMA surface is very sensitive. The tiniest scratch will disturb the transparency and be visible. The slip case should also not be exposed to UV light and sunlight for longer periods of time. Up to now, this book was stored in darkness, thus the slip case is in its original state. So do not keep this book next to you leatherbound edition of Moby Dick in the living room near the window. Plastic slip cases are rare because a mold has to be built to produce them. Besides this one I only know the Dracula of Aramanthine Press and On Top of the Volcano by Subterranean Press (which I have for sale on ebay).
