Hardcover. Condición: Good. 1st Edition. Full green morocco. Tall octavo. 114pp. Limited to 100 copies printed. Privately printed account of the author's trip to Europe during World War 1. Walcott, an investment banker and manufacturer from Connecticut, served with the United States Food Administration under Herbert Hoover. He sailed to Europe in November, 1915, on behalf of the Rockefeller Foundation War Relief Commission to study wartime conditions there. His report stresses the need for relief to the Belgians and Poles. A good copy with some wear to the corners and spine tips and some fading to the spine. There is a faint shelf number at the bottom of the spine. The text is good with some light soiling and wear. There are two small ownership stamps at the front and back and a bookplate on the rear inside cover as well as a 6-line ink inscription at front which has been partially erased. The book has a slight musty odor from being stored in an attic. Scarce.
