Hardcover. Condición: Very Good. Immediate dispatch from Somerset. Nice older book in good condition. Pages in excellent condition. No notes or highlighting. Some dustmarking to top of book but pages are excellent. See images. Fantastic book. About the book >.>.> This is a new edition of the story of three ornithological expeditions to the Coto Donana in the 1950s. Although nominally the book is purely an account of the expeditions, it quickly became recognised as a standard work, and in recent years those wish- ing to consult it have found it almost impossible to obtain a copy. Guy Mountfort, who has written a new introduction for this edition, deals in detail with the rich life of the sanc- tuary undisturbed by man for many generations, while on its first publica- tion the book set new standards in the illustration of natural history. There are 60 pages of plates, eight of them in full colour, most of them the work of Eric Hosking. (MP).
