Mass Market Paperback. Condición: Good. James Steranko & Frederick Blakeslee (front covers) Ilustrador. First Edition. ----------6 paperbacks. Reprints of novels first published in the "G-8 and His Battle Aces" pulp magazine in the 1930s. There were many other G-8 novels, but Berkley only published 8 volumes. Offered here are the first 6 of the 8 volumes, missing are volumes 7 and 8. Most of the books have pronounced browning to page block edges and damp-spotting inside covers. The spine of volume 3 is faded, volume 5 has spine creases. The front covers look great, with one small corner crease, and modest edgewear on some volumes. Due to the browning and damp-spotting, the overall condition of the set is rated as good only. An attractive set, uniform in appearance, with "modern" front cover art by James Steranko on the first 3 volumes, and the original pulp cover art by Frederick Blakeslee on the remaining volumes.

First edition. First edition. As new, unread copy in dust jacket. The third book in the Harrison Raines Civil War Mystery series. "It?s been years since Harrison Raines set foot in Richmond. Although a proud Virginian, he fled the South before the Civil War, unable to bear the evil of slavery. In 1862, battles rage on all sides of the Confederate capital, but Raines is not here as a soldier . he comes as a spy. Union intelligence, led by the formidable Allen Pinkerton, has sent him to steal the plans for a rumored Confederate superweapon: a seagoing ship clad entirely in iron that could break the Union blockade and turn the war around. Raines may be in home territory, but he is not at ease. In Richmond, they hang spies. While investigating the ship known as ?the Monster,? Raines?s closest friend . a freed slave named Caesar Augustus . is arrested for murder. Saving Augustus from the gallows will take quick wit, daring, and influence at the highest levels of the Confederacy.".

Softcover. Various Ilustrador. 1st Edition. These 5 trade paperbacks picked at random are speculative fiction with the exception of "The Toxic Avenger," it is the true story of Troma Studios. "A story of guerilla filmmaking at its cheapest, of the American Dream torn limb from limb, and of topless starlets menaced by obscene rubber puppets." Novelist, Englishman and admittedly incompetent amateur blacksmith Tom Holt offers readers two previously published comic fantasies under one cover in "Expecting Beowulf." "Out of The Storm" offers seven stories by William Hope Hdgson, a supreme master of imaginative horror in science ficion. Illustrated by Stephen Fabian. "The Folk of the Fringe" (1989) is a collection of post-apocalyptic stories by American writer Orson Scott Card. These stories are set sometime in the near future, when World War III has left America in ruins. "Dracula in Loudon" has sixteen stories that take the infamous nosferatu on a tour of 1890s London--where he encounters such historical personages as actress Ellen Terry and a young scientist Nikola Tesla (to mention a couple) in this masterful anthology from some of the best authors to ever sink their teeth into vampire mythology. This is a great way to pick up some excellent stores in unique trade paperbacks at a fabulous price. All are in good to very good condition other than self wear. None of the spines have been broken and the covers are not creased, which is a good indication that they may never have been read. Pages are browning.
