SIGNED on the second flyleaf by Henry C. Ryder, Oct. 5, 2002. Ryder was an impersonator of Wiley. "Raggedy Man" is one of Riley's most famous children's poem. Betts was an American illustrator of children's books. According the Wikipedia entry, " Beginning in 1904, she was commissioned to illustrate several books including James Whitcomb Riley's The Raggedy Man, While the Heart Beats Young, and Frances Hodgson Burnett's A Little Princess.".
