Eleanor Antin was, for a three week span in October of 1980, known to the world as Eleanora Antinova. She claimed to be a retired Black ballerina, part of Diaghilev's Ballet Russe. This book is her journal from that period. On a larger level, Antin was "a pioneer in contemporary Performance Art," per the publisher, Astro Artz, "one of the first artists to work in the area of self-transformation specifically through persona." A remarkable document, hard to find in this edition. 8vo.

Ethelbert Miller; "A second heart: racism, identity and the blues aesthetic," by Wanda Coleman; "What's goin' on? From the Editorial by Steven Durland: "I was quizzing [Keith Antar Mason], wanting to know what it is about the blues that goes beyond a 12-bar musical form. Is there blues painting or blues dance, or blues performanc art. Keith didn't so much answer my question as convince me that there were enough strong opinions on the subject to make it a topic worth exploring." As new.
