In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally sound with some shelf wear and bumping to the extremities and to the head and tail of the spine, which are slightly chipped. With some minor soiling to the boards and some minor rubbing to the front board. The cloth to the spine as well as to the boards has slightly darkened. With Charles Augustus Phillimore's bookplate to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. With some minor faint spotting to the first and last few leaves, otherwise the pages are generally bright and clean. Featuring sixty-three illustrations by Walter Crane, engraved by W. J. Linton, and two maps, both full page plates and in text. Collated, complete. Very Good. book.
