Slight cracking to hinges, with exposed netting, pages are loose. Pages have light tanning and foxing throughout. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Slight crushing to spine ends. Wear marks overall.

Cloth. Condición: Good. No Jacket. An in-depth, definitive chronicle of English Glee and Part-Songs from the earliest times through the 19th century. A GOOD, clean, tight copy. Scuffing/minor damage to top of spine cloth board and scuffing to corners. Tear to top corner of front endpaper (neatly scotch tape-repaired), elsewise a very good, clean, tight, scholar/collector-worthy copy. Blue cloth boards with black lettering on the front cover and gold gilt lettering on spine. From the Preface: "The substance of the following pages-the result of an attempt to trace the origin, growth, and development of English Glees and Part-songs-was read as a series of Lectures at the City of London College, under the auspices of the 'Society for the Extension of University Teaching.' It was no portion of their purpose to offer anything else than the History of the subject." 358 pages followed by 14 pages of advertisements for other Longmans, Green & Co. publications. GH1.
