Uitgave van de Arbeiders Jeugd Centrale (ca. 1930). 16 p. Gedrukt in rood en zwart met veel illustraties van Raoul Hynckes. Helaas nogal gescheurd, rug gerepareerd. En bijgevoegd: Kees BROOS, Raoul Hynckes. Arnhem, SEP, 1989. 22 x 22 cm. Ingenaaid met opaak omslag in Chinese bindwijze. 48 p. Met reproducties in kleuren van schilderijen van Hynckes, maar ook van enkele van de weinige tekeningen die van hem bewaard zijn. Engels- en Nederlandstalig. In De Meiroep is Hynckes veel modernistischer dan Meiregen. In het boek van Broos over Hynckes vinden we enkele parallelle tekeningen met zijn boekillustraties. Hynckes (1893-1973) illustreerde slechts heel zelden: hij is vooral bekend als magisch-realistisch schilder, niet als illustrator.
Karton, gebonden met touwtje, 25 x 19 cm, 59p, met kleurenillustraties naar tekeningen van Hynckes. Het hoogtepunt van Hynckes' boekillustraties, met reproducties naar tekeningen, paginagroot afgebeeld in kleur. In goede staat, met lichte verkleuring omslag.

Grand in-8, 62 pp., couverture cartonnée blanche, illustrée couleurs, dos toilé, relié à la japonaise avec lacet tressé apparent, très beau premier plat, tant au niveau du travail typographique que pour l'illustration ; très beau livre illustré par le peintre hollandais Raoul Hynckes, sans doute son seul travail pour les enfants, l'ouvrage marque le virage que prendra suite à cet ouvrage le peintre vers le cubisme, l'éloignant de ses premières oeuvres impressionnistes, quant à l'auteure, Margot Vos, elle s'est fait une réputation de poète dans les cercles socialistes des années 20, l'ouvrage comprend 14 illustrations pour ces Meiregen (Pluies de mai), en couleurs, texte en Hollandais ; bord des plats un peu bruni, bel état pour ce magnifique et rare album.
