Soft cover. Condición: Very Good. 1st Edition. SIGNED on the front free endpaper as follows: "To Susan, Expert | Assistant Mistress of the | Wardrobe | Sydney Greenbie | Marjorie Barstow Greenbie | Castine | May 23, 1948." 8vo. 95[1]p. [List of] Historic Personages, [List of] Books by Marjorie Barstow Greenbie and [List of] Books by Sydney Greenbie. To the Memory of Mrs. Ruth Dyer, Director of the 1946 Production. Laid in are four pieces of ephemera: Two are Programs for Castine, including the Cast of Characters; the third is a handwritten note dated 29 May 1961 on letterhead with the writers address and which reads as follows: "Dear Mrs. Bellinger - | I meant to return this | before since I remember | your telling me it was | your only copy. | Cordially, | John Hagerty." It seems likely that Mrs. Bellinger is the Susan to whom the book is inscribed, for the fourth item is a piece of letterhead from the Main Maritime Academy, Castine, Maine, which contains two pencil drawings of dress costumes, presumably by the Susan of the dedication. Grey wrappers blocked and printed in black. Very minor wear to extremities, small chip missing from top of rear wrapper near the spine, wrappers slightly soiled, else very good to near fine with no internal markings. Signed by Author(s).
