Gilt ruling tooling and lettering on the spines. Raised bands. Edges of the book block in gilt. Marbled endpaper. This finely bound set comprises the 2 volumes on the sport of yachting, published as part of the larger Badminton Library of Sports and Pastimes series. Assembled by a large team of contributors and editors, the set is profusely illustrated throughout with countless b/w reproductions after original artwork and original photographs. Additionally there are as wells as all manner other illustrated figures of a technical nature, and detailed sailing maps (some in color). Bindings with some light to moderate rubbing to extremities, including some on the hinges and bands of the spine. Starting at the gutters of the interior covers of vol.1. Book blocks with varying degrees of soiling and water damage throughout, including some rippling and foxing. Book block tight overall. Bindings in good+, interiors in good- condition overall.
