Condición: Fair. 1864. No Edition Remarks. 373 pages. No dust jacket. This is an ex-Library book. Quarter bound brown leather with grey cloth covered boards and gilt. Ex-Library copy, with expected inserts and inscriptions. Pages have mild tanning and foxing throughout, moderate at end-papers, paste-downs and text-block edges. Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout however binding remains reasonably firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Gilt lettering is darkened. Peeling and loss to leather.

A tear to pages 3 and 4 not affecting the text, some pages unopened, the leather spine is cracked and fraying, wear to the edges, the front board partially detached from the spine, still good with the text complete and clean. Features three texts, *Robertus Blondelli de Reductione Normannlæ* (text in Latin with English notes), *Le Recouvrement de Normendie, Par Berry, Herault du Roy*, (text in French and English), and *Conferences Between the Ambassadors of France and England* (text in French and English). Part of *The Chronicles and Memorials of Great Britain and Ireland During the Middle Ages*, "Published by the authority of her majesty's treasury, under the direction of the Master of the Rolls" (from the Foreword).

First edition (hardback). 8vo (26cm by 16cm), xv, 527pp. Folding frontispiece. Original quarter brown cloth, dark green boards, gilt titling to the spine. This books was formerly in a reference library, with occasional stamps and labels, there is a crease to the upper part of the front board, there is some rubbing and light scuffing of the binding, and the preliminary pages are browned. Overall, this book is just about in good condition. Part of the Rerum Britannicarum Medii Aevi Scriptores series, or Chronicles and Memorials of Great Britain and Ireland during the Middle Ages.
