There is one color reproduction and 54 black and white in this 41/2" X 61/4" hard board bound book. There is an introduction by Speicher, a chronology and note of awards on the last page. The book is in very good condition, bright and tight with a plain spine.

Usually with a photograph of the artist on the front,a color plate inside the cover, and numerous black and white plates. This is monograph no. 7 in this attractive series of books published in the 1940's. The series featured well known American artists such as Charles Burchfield, Rockwell Kent and Thomas Hart Benton. As well as artists lesser known today such as Waldo Pierce, Doris Lee, Alexander Brook and Doris Lee. I believe there were 20 monographs in the series and I have most of these listed. "some cover wear, very good".

Also illustrated with a black-and-white frontispiece. The top page corners are lightly bumped & there is some foxing to the rear blank. Good.
