Full-color dust jacket near very good, short tears along upper edge of front panel, spine panel chipped at bottom well below the publisher's name, one-inch gap in foldover from front panel to inside flap, few other minor flaws. Story of life in Moscow in the shadow of the coming Revolution through the experiences of a young country girl. James Daugherty, the author's husband, was a notable American artist who took part in the Armory Show.

Overall, a solid, Near Very Good copy in a Good only dust jacket, which has chips and short tears to the spine ends and corners with the chip at the head of the spine obscuring most of the title, sunning to the spine, wear with short tears to the edges, and rubbing with faint spots to the covers. The jacket is wrapped in Mylar.
