Hardcover. Condición: Very Good. Original printed wraps bound inside cloth gilt-titled to the spine 15 x 23cm. (4) + 204 + (4)pp. Covers near fine, lightly rubbed to the extremities. Binding secure. Interiors tanning towards the edges especially. Some corner creasing. Previous owner's details (Henry Martin, Sept 1943) to the front wrap and title page. Classical Persian poetry by Sadi / Saadi / Sa'di (1210-91), author of the Gulistan and Bustan, and a contemporary of Rumi. Edited and translated into English by Sir Lucas White King, Professor in Arabic and Persian at the University of Dublin. Introduced by Reynold Alleyne (R.A.) Nicholson, Lecturer in Persian in the University of Cambridge. Undated c1925. Printed and published by Kaviani Art Printing Press in Berlin.
