Hardcover. Condición: Fair. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Fair. 1st Edition. 64 pages (complete). A kind and generous-hearted copy. The illustrations are lovely and thrilling. The dustjacket is secure, sure with some wear about the edges, seams. There are marks and some scuffing. The boards are tidy and smart. Within, the frontis and end papers have scotch tape residue. Otherwise, the contents are very healthy and neat. The pages are clean, clear, engaging, welcoming and really rather heart-warming. fn. Our orders are shipped using tracked courier delivery services.

4to; original pale grey boards; pictorial dustwrapper; pp. 110; full-page line drawings. Dustwrapper a little rubbed and edgeworn; endpapers, outer leaves, edges and reverse of dustwrapper rather foxed, some spotting elsewhere; bottom edge slightly rippled. Fair to good. 'The following tales, most of them suitable for a higher age group than those of the "Fireside" series, are faithful representations of the age-old Folk Tales of the Bantu of Africa. Among the Bantu complex, tales are for the ears of all who care to listen, old and very young alike. Nothing is modified for the ears of tender years. For this reason, many of the tales of antiquity collected by the author have been excluded from her previous books, because of the Young People having claimed the "Fireside" series for their own. Too good to be lost to memory, a selection of these tales has now been combined with other milder ones to form this, the author's final book.'.
