Hardbound. 1/2 red leather with deckled boards; TEG; decorative end papers. Vol. 1, 112 pp.,100 plates; Vol. 2, 86 pp., 100 plates. Text in French. The two volumes illustrate details taken from Renaissance and Post-Renaissance buildings, ranging from Versailles to private houses. The first volume covers the period to the death of Louis XIV; the second covers the reigns of Louis XIV, XV and XVI. Vol. 2 front cover is detached; lacks Plate 99; Vol 1 is Good+ with scuffing and front hinge broken. Internally ranges from bright and clean to severe foxing.
