A scarce Yiddish theater program for the Workmen Circle's Folksbiene theater company's musical production "A Goldfaden Dream". The production, in 2 acts (6 scenes), was based on the work of pioneering Yiddish theater figure Abraham Goldfaden, as well as the writings of Itzik Manger, Borekh Fenster and Gershon Einbinder (Chaver Paver). The show premiered October 31,1943 at Malin Theater in New York. The program consists of cast and crew credits as well as a text from director Yacov Rothbaum. Text in Yiddish. Small stain located on the upper right corner of the front cover. Light creasing to pages. Final page with some light scratches and faint pencil markings at the bottom, as well as some minor stains. In good+ condition overall. Scarce. Protected by modern mylar. It continues to this day, and is considering both the oldest consecutively producing Yiddish theater company in the United States, as well as the oldest consecutively producing theater of any kind in the U.S.
