Features an detailed essay documenting Stahl's artistic career through its various phases, by Roger Hull, Professor Emeritus of Art History at Willamette University. Stahl moved to Portland, Oregon in 1967 and studied at the Museum Art School (now the Pacific Northwest College of Art). His instructors included the Pacific Northwest artists Louis Bunce, Jack McLarty, George Johanson, Manuel Izquierdo and Eunice Parsons. After earning his BFA in 1971, he taught at PNCA from 1973 until 1979 when he moved to Netarts on the Oregon Coast. He continued teaching at Tillamook Bay Community College (1979-2002) and at the Sitka Center for Art and Ecology (1988-1999). Signed by Author(s).
