A tight, attractive first edition of what the jacket front panel calls "Ten messages that affirm Christ's sovereignty" -- and handsomely signed and inscribed by the author in black fineline on the title page: "Compliments of / Reuben H. Mueller / Bishop / December 27, 1969." Mueller (1897-1982) was the influential ecumenist, bishop of the Evangelical Church and organizer and president of the National Council of Churches.
