This volume is one of six published as a catalogue raisonné of Miro's lithographs. With 11 original lithographs and a number of color plates of Miro's work. In an illustrated dust jacket with titling to spine in black. With a clear plastic cover and green wrap around paper slip with title and publisher name in white. Very slight chipping to the bottom of the green paper slip. Also light chipping and fading to spine of dust jacket. Interior pages are near fine. 253 pages. Measures 10 x 12.75 inches. ART/062922.

FIRST AMERICAN EDITION 1975, translated from the French, edition limited to 5000 numbered copies, this copy out of series and unnumbered, large 4to, 320 x 245 mm, 12½ x 9¾ inches, 200 lithographs, most full page and most in colour, plus 11 ORIGINAL COLOUR LITHOGRAPHS, 5 double page, 253 pages, in original publisher's cream cloth, red lettering to spine, red endpapers, in DUSTWRAPPER with green promotional wraparound band, plus publisher's outer acetate dustwrapper and plain cardboard slipcase. Slight strip of browning to top and bottom edge of spine, otherwise a very good copy in slightly worn slipcase. This is Volume 2 (1953-1963) of a 6 volume Catalogue Raisonne of the lithographs of Miro. The original lithographs were printed by Mourlot in Paris. The set features finely produced color reproductions of the artist's work. Additionally the volumes include a total of 32 original color lithographs produced for these publications by Miro, interleaved throughout the volumes, plus the 4 original lithographs on the front covers of the dust jackets. Each volume contains an table of contents. The accompanying text in the volumes including the captions and short descriptions is in French for volumes 2-4, volume one in English. Minor wear to dustjackets.
