Book is in near fine condition. McJunkin was a member of the 85th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, which served with both the Army of the Potomac and the Army of the James. They saw action at Williamsburg and Seven Pines in the beginning of the Civil War (1862), and later took part in expeditions to North and South Carolina including the siege of Fort Wagner. Sadly, after many marches and numerous battles, Milton McJunkin died from disease in early 1864, with just a month left before his enlistment was up. Signed by Author(s).
