Hardcover. Condición: Very Good. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Good. 1st Edition. Printed in Great Britain. [Date from the copyright page: mcmli.] First Printing. Frontispiece plus three full-color plates hors texte, List of Illustrations, Editor's Foreword, Critical Evaluation by Eric Newton, Chronological Outline, Detail in the Style of Wyndham Lewis, Notes on the Plates, Index; 109 pages, followed by 48 black-and-white plates. The original orange cloth is very good, with gentle bumping to the spine where the gilt lettering is sharp and clear. The interior is creamy-bright with only an occasional pale spot. [See one on the title page in the multiple images of the actual book.] The original pictorial unclipped dustjacket has taken the wear: it is rubbed, with several small chips and tears. [Again, see images.] "This was the first monograph on Wyndham Lewis [who] invented one of the two art-movements originating in England: Vorticism (pre-Raphaelitism being the other)."---from the flap. As with every book from my father's collection, tipped-in at the front is the small, attractive, acid-free bookplate pictured on my homepage. All books are wrapped with special care and are shipped promptly with tracking; international sales sent via global priority, also with tracking. Please note that, due to COVID, overseas shipping may incur unusual delays.
