His personal account also details life in Sacramento, San Francisco, and Marysville. Kingsley wrote his last diary entry when he returned to New Haven in 1851. Frederick J. Teggart (1870-1946) was an Irish-American historian and social scientist whose specialization was the study of civilizations.
