Hardcover. Condición: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. This offering is a rare vintage book on an Infantry in World War One. The History of the 321st Infantry with a Brief Historical Sketch of the 81st Division (Being a vivid and authentic account of the life and experiences of American soldiers in France - while they trained, worked, and fought to help win the World War) "Wildcats" was written by Clarence Walton Johnson and published by The R. L. Bryan Company in 1919. It looks to be a First Edition but is not specifically stated as such. My guess is that it was the ONLY edition. It also does have several truly amazing old black-and-white photographs and many older maps. The book is NOT an ex-library book - does not have a dust jacket and is in very good condition ( particularly for its age) and also does have a spine that is getting brittle. (On the front loose end page - written in pencil - is a list of tires that a former owner bought/used in 1921 & 1922.) The book is 5" by 7 9/16" and has 201 pages with a Table of Contents - a list of the Illustrations - an Appendix with a Roster of the 321st Infantry and a Part II that tells of the 81st Division. It's quite a look at a portion of the First World War. Thank you!.
