Blind-stamped Cloth. Condición: Good-VG. 'Revised and corrected'. f/piece (engr. of Mercury by W.Sharp)+liv+(4)+739+(1)(Addendum), pub.lists on endpapers and pastedowns. A nice copy, f/piece offset onto t.p. as usual, otherwise internally clean, tight & unmarked, fr. end-gutter split but quite secure, v.sl.splitting to rear end-gutter of little significance. The elaborately blind-stamped covers are now of an indeterminate brownish colour but have originally been purple or mauve, clean, corners sl.bumped, top sp.v.slightly rubbed, cloth starting to split along lower of third front joint. Appears to be a reissue of the 1829 2nd ed, but one of the notes on the final addenda page is dated Nov.20, 1839. A very acceptable copy of this important, if quirky, linguistic classic. Size: 16.5 Cms x 23 Cms.
