This book shed the light on the importance of teacher credentials and child-rearing beliefs in promoting preschoolers social development at early childhood settings. Teacher credentials and child-rearing beliefs in Jordan preschools tend to be low were more than half of preschool teachers (71, 43%) had low credentials and (77.14%) had traditional child-rearing beliefs. The author suggested several recommendations for policy makers and the Ministry of Education in Jordan. Some of these recommendations include but not limited to: hire teachers with BA in early childhood education, train more personnel to work as trainers for in-service teachers who do not hold a BA in early childhood education, develop training programs for in-service teachers and encourage them to join these training programs by giving them incentives and free training sessions and certifications for the in-service teachers who complete the training programs. 120 pp. Englisch.
