Charlotte Bronte Herr (1875-1963) was a California author who primarily wrote children's books, though she also penned a couple of novels in the 1920's. Her first books were published by P. F. Volland of Chicago. This copy issued in white paper-covered boards which are quite discolored, but the cover illustrations and lettering are still very legible and clear. The contents good. This book contains 7 illustrations in color illustrations by Frances Beem. Unpaginated, but book contains 20 pages. This is probably a first edition, but is not so stated in the book. Small neat owners inscription from 1915 on front endpaper and a small half-nickel sized chip out of the top right corner of one of the interior pages which does not affect any art or lettering, just white space. Slight wear to top and bottom of the spine, otherwise a tight sound unmarked copy in Good condition.
