The club was formed with the purpose of encouraging coaching, or "taking the cushion" with whip, carriage, and horses. Bound in polished calf with 5 raised bands on the spine, gilt decoration, ruling, and dentelles, cover shows minor rubbing. Marbled endpapers. Pages largely clean. With 2 color plates, one with a liveried coachman, the other of a carriage. Price sticker on the front pastedown. Text in English and French.
