Soft cover. Condición: Fine. 1st Edition. pp: 186. SIGNED FIRST EDITION. This copy has been inscribed and signed by the author on the title page. It is a personal and warm inscription to a pupil of the Heidenreich. Part biography and part archaeological record. There is a short biography of Dr. Bawtree (1818-1898). The second part of the book is an abstract of an article by Dr. Bawtree on the sepulchral pits of Indian origin he discovered near Penetanguishene in the early 1890s. There is a section on the Doctor's donation of the artifacts he discovered, followed by a short piece on the drawings he completed. The appendices include the genealogical work done by the author on Dr. Bawtree and his family. And finally, there is a catalogue of the relics along with drawings. A fine copy. Signed by Author(s).
