Cloth. Condición: Fine. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Fine. First Edition. Each stop in the Mormon migration westward was fraught with danger and the time spent in Illinois and that danger Mormons faces climaxed with the assassination of Joseph Smith and his brother Hyrum at Carthage on 27 June 1844. The author's have done an admirable job at assembling a well balanced picture of the build-up to the assassination, the act itself and the aftermath. Many of the documents cited are published here for the first time. It is an absolutely fascinating read! This is a very nice copy.
