Condición: Good. 1946 first editionBinfords and Mort (Hillsboro, Oregon), 5 3/4 x 8 3/4 inches tall brown pictorial cloth hardbound in publisher's unclipped color dust jacket, illustrated, 70 pp. Extremely slight warp to front board. Light soiling, rubbing and edgewear to covers. Prior owner name in ink to front pastedown. Otherwise, apart from a couple of instances of light marginal soiling or a creased page tip, a very good copy. ~SP31~ Although Gwendolen Hayden (1904 - 1972) began her professional career as a music teacher at the University of Oregon and subsequently taught at two Adventist colleges, she is best known as the author of a widely read series of ten books for children titled Really Truly Stories. 'Muslin Town' is what the children in the story, Danny and Betsey Lane, call their mining camp in early Oregon, because it consists mostly of tents made from white muslin, rather than the log cabins of pre-gold rush settlers.
