Hardcover. Condición: Fair. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Unusual binding. Printed on heavy brown paper. The covers are heavy card, with a green cloth glued on, overlapping the edges in an intentionally ragged pattern. The cloth is a bit faded at the spine, and lightly soiled. The cloth is fraying at the edges, but appears to have been bound that way. Front inner hinge cracked, gutters are cracked and several front pages are loose. Text block is darkened with age. This is an unusual rare book and the stiffness of the paper counter the book's integrity.

Soft cover. Condición: Good. (1896), pages not numbered, about 300 pages, scalloped denim covers over stiff paper boards. Pages lightly toned, primarily at edges, unusual denim binding. G. From author's introduction: ".now I am emboldened to give the aphorisms of YUTZO to the world, despite the fact that many of them might sound familiar to modern ears. I know of course they have lost much by being deprived of the quaint language of YUTZO, and by being put in modern garb.".

Hardcover. Condición: Very Good (Minus). No Jacket. First Edition. New York: Frederick A. Stokes Company, 1902. Here is an interesting artifact of American racial "humor," written mainly in an African-American dialect. Frederick Henri Seymour (1850-1913) wrote several books under the pseudonym of an Irish Lord. This is a Very Good (Minus) copy of the First Edition. Rare; Worldcat shows only one holding. Denim cloth binding with black lettering on the spine and front cover. Clean text; basically unpaginated (or paginated randomly), the last page number is 457, which would be about 200 pages more than are here. Frontis cartoon of Uncle Eph; all pages with decorations; text and decorations are in brown ink. The book is in fragile condition. Covers are rubbed at the margins. Both gutters have cracked, and some pages seem loose, or about to become so. For this reason, Quercus must offer this as a Binding Copy, in need of repair or restoration. In an archival plastic protector. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good (Minus)/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
