Since 1996 it takes place in varying countries and cities throughout Europe. The city of Frankfurt/Main hosted the »Manifesta 4, European Biennial of Contemporary Art«. In spring and summer of 2002 predominantly young artists, who live and work in Europe, presented their works in Frankfurt museums, exhibition spaces and public venues.
