Bookplates of two previous owners to front pastedown and front free endpaper. Inscription signed by the publisher (who was also the owner of Beeleigh Abbey) to top of front free endpaper. Original spine has been relaid with small amount of loss to top of spine. Foxing to verso of colour frontis.Evidence of removal of bookplate or sticker from rear pastedown. Internally VG but externally very grubby - P., 1922

Bookplate of the Rev William Pressey to the front pastedown and his signature (in pencil) to the top of the front free endpaper. Nb he was author of "The Church Plate of the County of Essex". Internally the contents are VG. Externally, the spine and top of the boards are slightly darkened. A VG copy of a scarce title.
