Clean pages; full black cloth cover bears moderate edgewear around spine ends, and jacket bears several edge tears, some with attendant creases, and some open edge chipping, otherwise sound, with unclipped jacket now protected in a clear sleeve. A slightly autobiographical novel of a Russian Christian minister's family traveling Europe in 1938. Professor Fetler was a 1964 graduate of the Iowa Writers' Workshop.; Signed by Author.

Hardcover. Condición: Good. Quarto, unpaginated, [85 pages], green buckram, top cover stained Andrew Fetler was a short story writer. He graduated from Loyola Chicago in 1959. He joined the UMass Amherst English Department as an instructor in 1964 and retired in 1988. A novel, "The Travelers," was published in 1965. A collection of short stories, "To Byzantium," was published in 1976. His stories also appeared in The Atlantic and The Norton Anthology of Short Fiction, among others. His honors include two O. Henry Awards, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and National Endowment for the Arts grants in 1976 and 1983. Two of these three short stories appear to be carbon copies, including "The Votchevsky Incident" of 18 pages. The poems appear to be typescript originals. Some child used the endpapers and blank leaves, and more to draw with crayons.
