Hardcover. Condición: VG+. Estado de la sobrecubierta: VG+. Ernest Smythe? and J Streple Davis? Ilustrador. 19.5cm By13cm. This edition of "Deerfoot on the Prairies is undated but is probably c1920s. The copy is remarkable for its excellent condition, both book and dustjacket. On the VG+ blue hard covers the front decoration is of a rifle armed indian climbing a hill, grey sky with blue/black titles, Indian has red upper garment, similar figure with bow on spine, blue titles on gilt panel. Orange brown DJ has black illustration with pair in a canoe persued by two other canoes, black titles lower left, spine top has framed "The Boys' Library of Adventure" with titles on dark brown panel below, the lower is 10cm colour, pasted-on illustration of an indian riding a buffalo. DJ is VG+ with few tiny tears and small chips, mainly at spine top. Ink gift insc top front pastedown, year of date has been inked out. Inscription, in wobbly hand, inked top FFEP, vertical brown shadow strip over half FFEP, also at rear, Text block otherwise excellent with colour frontis (Ernest Smythe?) and four b/w plates (J Streple Davis?) also excellent.

Internally spotlessly clean, no foxing. Spine slightly faded, otherwise a tight straight copy.
