A sound, decent copy. Boards rubbed at edges with cloth chipped from spines above the level of the page block; board showing through cloth at corners. Cloth weak in the hinge gutters with a partial split starting top front hinge. Scattered light to moderate soiling and toning. Chip from the lower corner of page 47/48 has result of loss of first letter or two from several lines of text. G+.

First Edition. Hard Cover. Fair. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

Attractive lettering and cross design in gilt on spine. Partial looseness of blank end page at front prior to frontispiece. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear.
