Presentation inscription from the author to General Sir George White. Rather stream-of-consciousness autobiography of a military man famous in his day for steeplechasing and boxing. In a very varied career, set forth here in detail, he hunted foxes, rode in steeplechases, fought men in and out of the ring, flew balloons and sustained numerous injuries, in Britain, Ireland and India. The title on the spine is "Sporting Memoirs of Sir Claude Crespigny." .
