XXX, no. 4. "As a fitting part of his ['Thesaurus of Medieval Hebrew Poetry'] the late Prof. Israel Davidson had compiled a list of rhymes." At his sudden death he left a manuscript called "Mafteaha-haruzim." The Jewish Quarterly Review published this list, hoping to benefit the owners of the Thesaurus. "The introduction has been prepared, and the proofs read, by Prof. Ismar Elbogen. " He also added bibliographical foot-notes.
