Hardcover. Condición: Near Fine. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Near Fine. 1st Edition. Bright red cloth on boards with bright, as new purple/red title box on spine and equally bright gilt titling in box. The book is tight, square and free of all markings or flaws inside, other than a small sticker on the FFE for the prior owner. Book would be fine but for that sticker and a box of slightly darker red on the cover that must have been some type of sticker. Purple endpapers, beautiful color frontis, and multiple monochrome plates and in-text illustrations along with two maps. The real cracker jack prize though is the jacket at the rear holding a 7" 33 1/3 rpm vinyl record in pristine condition, possibly never taken out, but certainly never played. The Unclipped Dust Jacket is Near Fine as well, with only minor soiling on the cream color of the jacket, and a small ink stain on the front. No tears or scuffed corners though. This book covers Maximilian's support for music in the Germanic countries in the late-15th and early-16th centuries, including his patronage of German and Flemish composers Hofhaimer, Isaac and Senfl, and his contact with the leading Netherlands composers of the period through his marriage to Mary of Burgundy. Book includes scores, photos, etc. Fantastic collector's item.

Hardcover. First Edition. 4to. 456pp. Signed and inscribed by the translator to organist Marilyn Mason. VERY GOOD in Very Good dust jacket protected in a removable mylar cover. The book itself shows marginal rubbing of the bottom edge, ever so slight hint of fading of the spine, otherwise the binding is strong and tight, the text is clean and unmarked, and the boards are bright and distinct. The dust jacket shows slight edge wear, some light rubbing of the back panel, a small closed tear of the back panel, spine ever so slightly toned, otherwise is bright, colorful and distinct. As pictured.
