Original o primera edición
First English edition, first printing. Original orange cloth with black titles to the spine, in dustwrapper. Illustrated throughout in black and white by Attila Sassy. A very good copy, the binding square and tight, the cloth clean, the contents, with a few light spots to the text block edge and five pen ticks next to story titles on the contents page, are otherwise clean throughout. Complete with the rubbed, nicked and creased original dustwrapper which has a closed tear to the foot of the spine and another to the foot of the front spine fold. A collection of short stories by the Hungarian writer, psychiatrist, physician and drug addict Géza Csáth, accompanied by Beardsley-esque illustrations from 'Opium Dreams' by the Hungarian artist Attila Sassy. Sassy was a contemporary of Csáth, who dedicated the story 'Opium' to him. Further details and images for any of the items listed are available on request.
