The tops of the pages are gilded. 74 black & white plate illustrations that are printed on coated stock. Book is clean and tight. Boards have edgewear with tiny scuffs in places & bumped corners with fraying. The gilt lettering on the front board is very bright. The backstrip is faded with edgewear on the top & bottom - the backstrip has a scuff. The lettering on the backstrip is bright. Leaves are very good with no markings - a few pages have some foxing on outside edge at side and bottom of pages. Endpapers have slight soiling. Ships within 24 hours.
